Betty J. Baumgardner, 75, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:52 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 27, 1942, in Shade Gap, she was a daughter of the late Sherman A. and Jennie M. (Wagner) Freed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Dewey Baumgardner; three brothers; and a sister.
Betty is survived by: her daughter, Roseann Gordon and her husband, Brian, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Dominique Gordon and Catriona Gordon, both of Lewistown; and siblings, Jack Freed and wife, Brenda, of Lumber City, Wilgus Elliot, of Lewistown, and Arlene Kready and husband, Robert, of Elizabethtown.
She was a member of Grace Covenant Church.
Betty loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She enjoyed attending church, going to casinos with her friends, and being outdoors.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m., April 19, at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
Interment will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Juniata Memorial Park.
