Boyd K. Zook, 86, entered his eternal home at 2:47 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born March 13, 1931 in Belleville, he was a son of the late David D. Zook and Bertha (Glick) Zook.
He is survived by: his wife, Mildred “Mid” (Aurand) Zook of 59 years, whom he married on June 14, 1958; children, Kevin Boyd Zook and wife, Amy (Nelson) Zook, of Langhorne, Pa., Keith Boyd Zook and wife, Terri (Goodling) Zook, of New Market, Alabama, Annette Marie (Zook) Reed and husband, Richard Reed, of Broadway, Virginia; Andrea Marie (Zook) Haubrick and husband, Robert Haubrick of McVeytown; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson; siblings, Earl D. Zook, of Virginia, Ray M. Zook of South Carolina, David D. Zook of Florida, Mary C. Saner, of Thompsontown, Donna L. Zook, of Mifflintown, and Esther M. Lauver, of McAlisterville.
Boyd was preceded in death by: a brother, John M. Zook, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Hulda Zook (Earl) and Doris Zook (Ray); and a brother-in-law, Elroy Saner (Mary).
Boyd had honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Earlier in life, he had been employed at Sperry/Ford, New Holland, Belleville, retiring after 35 years and then later, he was a school bus driver for 22 years.
He was a member of Big Valley Bible Church, Reedsville. Boyd loved his church family and looked forward to worshipping with them each week.
Viewings will be held from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 30, and from 10 – 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31 with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Big Valley Bible Church, 139 W. Railroad St., Reedsville, with Pastors Jeff and Jim Hartzler officiating.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
