Clyde Albert Bailey, Jr.

September 29, 1950 ~ February 21, 2015 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Clyde Albert Bailey, Jr., of Lewistown, died on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at his home.

Born on September 29, 1950 in Germany, while his father was serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was the son of the late Clyde Sr., and Erika Bailey.

The family moved to the United States when Clyde was four years old.

He leaves behind four children with his former wife, Debra Bailey: Ben and wife, Holly, Rachael Brown and husband Dan, Seth and Jacob.

He also leaves behind his loving partner of ten years, Silvana Dodson; two granddaughters, Olivia and Lauren Brown and one nephew, Jonathan Conley.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Maryann Conley, and a brother, Donald  Bailey.

Clyde was a Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Kennedy during the Vietnam era.

He graduated from Practical Bible Training School with a degree in Christian Education.

He worked in Christian Ministry (including Christ’s Home), Real Estate, and management, and was an entrepreneur.

Clyde enjoyed the outdoors, farming, gardening, scuba diving, basketball, science fiction, computers, chocolate and blogging.

Most recently he settled in Lewistown where he lived with his beloved partner, Silvana Dodson. While living here he developed a strong relationship with the community, becoming an active member in both the local Sportsman’s Association and Tea Party organization. He was an active writer in the local paper and blogger concerning political issues. He loved to swim at the local YMCA. He was loved and respected by many dear friends and will be missed by all.

May he rest in peace until raised on the last day.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 28 at the funeral home with Rev. Karen McCachren and Pastor Dave Purdy officiating.
