Darlene M. McColm

Darlene M. McColm, 66, of Lewistown died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Jan. 1, 1949 in Gallitzin she was a daughter of the late Martha J. (Groce) and John McTavish, Sr. Her husband, Harry C. "Chuck" McColm preceded her in death.

Darlene is survived by: daughter, Tabitha Henschel and husband, Ervin Jr., of Clearfield; siblings, Charmain Leach, of Lewistown, Roxanne Fisher and husband, Butch, of Milroy, Jeanice Leach and husband, Jim, of Jonestown, Janet Auman and husband, Ben, Sr., of Spring Mills, Royce McTavish and girlfriend, Lori, of Burnham, Barry McTavish, Sr. and wife, Melissa, of Lebanon, Sonja McTavish, of Lewistown; brother-in-law, Harry Shouey; and two grandchildren, Aspen and Ryanne Henschel.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, John R. McTavish, Jr. and four sisters, Beverly Heaston, Mona McTavish, Dana Shouey, and Pamela McTavish.

Darlene had worked as a housekeeper/hostess at the Hampton Inn in Dubois and as a server at the Lewistown Snack Shop for 15 years.

She attended Granville United Methodist Church.

Darlene enjoyed time with her family and her grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed watching her girls cheer. She also loved gardening, feeding birds and loved her cat, Miss Kitty.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at Lewistown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 50 Hudson Ave., Juniata Terrace, Lewistown with Rev. John Looney officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
