Esther "Becky" V. (Logan) Rodkey

Esther V. (Logan) “Becky” Rodkey, 99, of Lewistown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Ohesson Manor.

Born Nov. 8, 1917, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Virginia (King) Logan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Audice (Ott) Rodkey; her brothers, William Sr., John, Carl, Chester and Ralph Logan; and sisters, Lilian and Margarite Logan and Ruth (Logan) Kratzer. She was the last of her immediate family.

She is survived by: her sons, Alan, of Reedsville, Audice “Abe” and wife, Karen, of Willow St., Pa., and Tom and wife, Connie, of Lewistown and James, of York; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 24 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Esther was a graduate of Lewistown High School, class of 1935.

Earlier in life, she worked at the lunch counter at Woolworth, Rea Derrick Drug Store, Servomation and Leoras Restaurant/Cafeteria.

Becky enjoyed entertaining family and friends; planning elaborate picnics, cooking, baking and noted for her raisin filled cookies and beautiful braided rugs.

She was a member of Evangel Baptist Church for 50 plus years; Berean Sunday school class, Evangelders and Homemakers group.

A viewing will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. 5th St. Lewistown with her son, Pastor “Abe” Rodkey officiating.

Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
