Evelyn I. Taylor, 80, a resident of William Penn entered into peace 9:12 pm Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Born on January 13, 1935 in Lewistown she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Irene M. Munson.
Her beautiful children, Clare I. Hart, Tina M. Druckenmiller and Stephen M. Taylor entered into peace before her, waiting patiently to be reunited. Additionally two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
She is survived by: her former husband Donald H. Taylor, a resident of Locust Grove Retirement Community, who remained a loving friend and companion.
She is also survived by: her sister, Catherine V. Hess, of Lewistown; her grandchildren: Michelle L. Taylor and companion, Ron Rader, of Harrisburg, Candace L. Snyder and husband, Ryan, of Ferguson Valley, Richard A. Strausburg and wife, Kelly, of Lewistown, Robert A. Strausburg and wife, Wendy, of Burnham, Amanda M. Barry and husband, Joshua, of Harrisburg and Bart Druckenmiller, of Lewistown. She adored her wonderful great grandchildren: Taylor Clark, Stephen Taylor, Chelsea Bell, Lauren Bell, Arika Snyder, Logan Snyder, Jenna Snyder, Mason Snyder, Nathan Strausburg, Alyssa Strausburg, Sadie Strausburg and Sidney Strausburg. She was blessed with two great-great-grandchildren: Hayden Fultz and Cori Bell. Additionally she is survived by "her babies", Francis and Slinky, her feline loves.
Early in life she was employed as a dietary aide at Lewistown Hospital and later, at Floor Kleeners with her husband and son. Her greatest joy however came from raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With a delightful heart she was eager to fill in when needed and it was almost always accompanied with a hilarious story. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. Her rambunctious spirit and inspiring strength will remain embedded in those she loved and befriended.
A viewing will be held from 6 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Hill officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Mark's Cemetery.
