George H. “Dorty” Marks Sr., 86, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at his home.
Born Aug. 3, 1931, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late George Marks and Ethel (Shingle) Marks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Albert Marks.
George is survived by: wife, Addiebell Marks, whom he married Sept. 16, 1961; children, Georgia Parson and husband, Tim, of Lewistown; George Marks Jr., and companion, Ruby Winters, of Lewistown; William Harlon and wife, Peg, of Lewistown; and Richard Harlon Sr., of Mifflintown; grandchildren, Belinda Parson and companion, Josh Epperson, of Lewistown; Timmy Parson and wife, Melinda, of McClure; (Hoss) Richard Jr. Harlon and wife, Kelly, of Port Royal; Amy Hockenberry and husband, Harry, of Lewistown; Willie Harlon and wife, Melissa, of Iowa; and Toby Wilson and husband, Randy, of Burnham; great-grandchil- dren; Alexis Parson, Jordan Parson, Jayden, Gage and Bryce Harlon, Haleigh and Addison Hockenberry, Daisy, Loretta and William Harlon and Shaylynn Cole.
He worked at Arch Rock Paving and retired from Eastern Industries.
George was a member of City Hook and Ladder.
He enjoyed being with family and friends, going to auctions, going to the races, playing cards and drinking root beer soda.
Per George’s wishes there will be no services.
