Helen D. Yorks, 81, of Milroy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare, Lewistown.
Born Sept. 6, 1936, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Claire W. (Snair) Wagner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, Earl E. Eby Sr.; her second husband, Carl W. Yorks; and siblings, June Rothrock, Mary Ellen Wagner and William E. Wagner.
Helen is survived by: children, Carolyn L. Lose, of Lewistown, Angela C. Pettit, of Mifflintown, Mark E. Eby Sr., of Lewistown, Delores Marks and husband, Roy, of Lewistown, Carla R. Diven and husband, Todd, of McVeytown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Walter S. Wagner and wife, Betty, of Va., Louise F. Slick, of Milroy, Sally A. Wagner, of Milroy, and Diane E. Huffman and husband, Charles, of Md.
Helen attended Chief Logan High School and she attended Lockes Banks Evangelical Methodist Church.
Helen was a homemaker and she enjoyed taking care of her family. In her younger years, she worked at Empire Kosher and loved to go out dancing. Her greatest joy was the time that she got to spend with her family and friends. She especially cherished her children and grandchildren. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson and she loved to listen to their music.
Helen was an animal lover. She had a cat, Ruby, who passed away, and a cat, Lilly, who will miss her. Helen was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John Walters and Rev. Kalem Mowery officiating.
Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
