Ivan E. “Bud” Fisher, 71, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:15 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, at his home.

Born Oct. 3, 1945, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Joseph G. and Doris L. (Cook) Fisher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Fisher, and two sisters, Kathryn V. Fisher and Joan Kearns. 

He is survived by: his wife, Carol A. (Rhine) Fisher, whom he married July 10, 1965; his son, Bradley I. Fisher and wife, Amanda, of Lewistown; grandsons, Colin Fisher and Clayton Kochenderfer; and siblings, Roy L. Fisher, of Granville, Barbara R. Reik, of Lewistown, Margaret Bradford and husband, Nelson, of Manchester, D. Jean Wagner and husband, Randy, of Milroy; and a brother-in-law, Norman Kearns, of Lewistown.

Bud graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1964.

He served in the Army and was a Vietnam War veteran.

Bud was employed by Standard Steel for 44 years in the stores department, retiring in 2011.

He was a member of Granville United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men’s Club.

He was also a member of the United Steelworkers of America, Local 1940, and the Men’s Merchant Bowling League.

Bud enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his grandchildren, traveling and going out to eat with the “Rat Pack”.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Juniata Memorial Park, with the Rev. G. Edward “Ted” Corcelius officiating. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bud’s memory may be made to Lewistown Home Health and Hospice: The Bridge, Pleasant Acres, 305 Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044, or to Granville United Methodist Church, PO Box 142, Granville, PA 17029.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
