Katherine E. Henry-Leeper, 98, of Lewistown died at 1:51 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at her home.
Born May 24, 1918 in Lewistown she was a daughter of the late June (Stine) and Harry H. Knepp.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Henry, in 1965; her second husband, Waldo Leeper, in 1973; a brother, Fern White; a sister, Glenna Katz; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Henry.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Henry and his wife, Lois, of Bedford, Ronald Henry, of Lewistown, and Kay Rockey and her husband, Oscar, of Burnham; nine grandchildren, Bill Henry, Scott Henry, David Henry, Michael Henry, Lori Miller, Terry Henry, Cheryl Walker, Denise Goss and Janine Logan; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She retired from the Arrow Shirt Factory.
Katherine was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.
She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family, and taking bus trips.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham with Rev. Carola Beasley-Topliffe officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Birch Hill Cemetery, Burnham.
