Lloyd F. Cavanaugh, Sr.

Lloyd F. Cavanaugh Sr., 60, of Lewistown, passed away at 3:21 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at his home.

Born Sept. 22, 1957, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Kenneth E. Sr. and Connie Lou (Carstetter) Cavanaugh.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason S. Cavanaugh, on June 5, 2002.    

Lloyd is survived by: his wife, Bonnie L. (Hostetler) Cavanaugh, whom he married March 4, 1978; son, Lloyd F. Cavanaugh Jr. and fiancée Angela Price, of Yeagertown; a grandson, Derek S. Cavanaugh; granddaughter, Kendall R. Cavanaugh; and four siblings, Kenneth E. Cavanaugh Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Reedsville, Tracy L. Cavanaugh, of Burnham, Michael E. Cavanaugh and wife, Roberta, of Port Royal, and Donna J. O’Donnell and husband, David, of Reedsville. 

Lloyd graduated from Chief Logan High School, Class of 1977.

He was employed by Overhead Door Corporation, where his abilities enabled him to work in various departments throughout the plant.

He was a skilled hunter and fisherman, and in his younger days, had enjoyed coaching his boys in Babe Ruth baseball and pee wee and midget football.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Paintersville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 3195 Back Maitland Rd., Lewistown, with Rev. Thomas Wright officiating.

Interment will take place in Paintersville CMA Cemetery.    

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
