Michael F. Bedelyon

Michael F. Bedelyon, 70, of Lewistown, passed away at 1:21 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

Born Feb. 27, 1947 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Dorothy (Reisinger) and Frederick Bedelyon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife, Shirley M. (Daubert) Bedelyon, whom he married on Oct. 28, 1967, and she passed away on Oct. 25, 2011.

He is survived by his son, Michael V. Bedelyon and wife, Niki, of Lewistown, and his grandchildren, Nic Bedelyon, Tyler Bedelyon and wife, Kristi (Potorti) Bedelyon, and Chloe Crawford.

He was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1965 and was a member of the Army Reserves.

Michael had worked at ACPI Cabinet Factory in Thompsontown.

Mike will no doubt be remembered for his charisma, his infectious smile and genuine soul. As put by Kristi, “Pap Mike is the happiest person I’ve ever seen”, he lived and loved life each and every single day. He would do anything for anyone and had a heart of gold. Mike enjoyed everything about life but most of all, he enjoyed watching Nic and Tyler wrestle. He loved hunting, family gatherings, sitting on the back porch with neighbors and friends, whom he considered family, and going to work. Mike loved watching NASCAR racing and going to the drags. He truly lived every minute of every day. He also loved going up to ‘Dave’s Bottle Shop’ and hanging out with his friends, telling stories, and creating lifelong friendships. Mike also enjoyed spending time with, Diesel, his “part-time dog”.

The family will receive friends from 7 – 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N Main St., Lewistown.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 21 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeannie Berube officiating.

Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown,
