Olive Mae McCardle, 80, of Ohio died on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Maplecrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Struthers Ohio.

Born March 27, 1935 in Lewistown she was a daughter of the late Bart and Nancy Jane (Vanalman) Fleming.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Fleming and a sister, Loraine Riley.

Olive is survived by: her husband, Samuel McCardle; her sons, Michael McCardle and wife, Kathy, of Lewisberry and Matthew McCardle and wife, Cathy, of Pittsburgh; brothers, Warren Fleming and wife, Ruth, of New Castle and Wallace Fleming and wife, Beverly, of East Petersburg; and three grandchildren, Austin McCardle and wife, Liesel, Bart McCardle, Hannah and husband, Tyson Rohrs; and two great-grandchildren Talon and Selah.

Earlier in life she had worked at Fisher Electronics and later had a cleaning business.

She was a member of Poland Village Baptist Church.

Olive loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, traveling with her family, playing cards, putting puzzles together and going for walks. She also enjoyed having lunch or dinner at Panera's with her friends in Struthers Ohio.
 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.

Interment will take place in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
