Patricia A. (Powell) Sechrist

Patricia A. Sechrist, 81, of Lewistown, died at 4:24 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at William Penn.   

Born May 26, 1935, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Roberta (Cherry) and John Powell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Sechrist; a son, Steven Sechrist; siblings, Donna Kratzer, Dawn Joseph, Lois Specht, John Powell, Rosemary Kauffman, and Catherine Gearhart; and a grandchild. 

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Sechrist and wife, Bobbi Jo, of Mt. Union, Jeff Sechrist and his companion, Lori Liddick, Lori Groce and her companion, Rodney Miller, Melissa Sechrist and her companion, Tony Parsons, all of Lewistown; daughter-in-law, Kim Sechrist, of McVeytown; siblings, Janice Gahagan and husband, Lou, of Lewistown, Debbie Hoover and husband, Larry, of Longfellow, Susan Wineland and husband, Joe, of Martinsburg, Larry Powell and wife, Heather, of Lewistown, Daniel Powell and wife, Kim, of Strodes Mills, Jenny Appleby and her companion, Brian Kratzer, of Lewistown, Jim Powell, of Thailand; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Patricia was a homemaker.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed going shopping.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sat., Nov. 26 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Jerry Wise officiating.

A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Atkinson Mills Cemetery, McVeytown.
