Ronald V. Harbst, 57, of Connecticut died on July 28, 2016 at his home.

Born on July 26, 1959 in Titusville, Fla., he was a son of the late Neil W. Harbst.

In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Denise Kelley and Cheryl Harbst.

Ronald is survived by: his aunts and uncles; Kathryn Shore, of Camp Hill and Larry Harbst and Bonnie, of Lewistown; two great aunts, Helen ‘Billie’ Miller and Shirley Hower, both of Lewistown; brother-in-law, Jay Kelley, of Alvin, Texas; cousins, Jill Harbst Boulanger, of Lewistown, Russell Harpster, of South Carolina and Karen Sue Shore, of Camp Hill; nieces, Donna Terrell and husband, Andrew, of Texas and Jessie Kelley, of Texas; a great-niece, Kathryn Terrell; and his special friends, Heather Keddy and family of Massachusetts and Doug Woodmansee of Connecticut.

Ronald served in the U.S. Navy as a sonar technician from 1987-1999.

He was a graduate of La Port High School in Texas.

Ronald had worked at Lockheed Martin as a civilian contractor.

He enjoyed collecting antiques, martial arts, reading and movies.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat., Aug. 27 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown with Rev. Karen McCachren officiating.

The family will receive friend from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Sat. at the funeral home.

Interment with VFW Post 7011 honors will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
