Vernon “Bub” I. Kuykendall, 66, of Lewistown died at 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at his home.
Born Aug. 21, 1950, in Fulton County, he was a son of the late Agnes (Harr) and Vernon I. Kuykendall, Sr.,
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon and Patsy Kuykendall.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Kuykendall, Robert Kuykendall and wife, Andrea, and Mallissa Kuykendall and companion, Brad Forshey, all of Lewistown; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Sue McGee and husband, James, of Chambersburg; and his brother, Michael ‘Mick” Gress, of Oklahoma.
He attended Chief Logan High School.
Bub had worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a truck driver.
He was a member of American Legion Post 90 and the City Hook & Ladder.
Bub enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years; liked antiquing, and loved shooting pool.
All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
