Anna Mae (Dock) Baker passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2019.
Born Nov. 11, 1928, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of Frederick C. Dock and Sara (Zeller) Dock. Anna Mae was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Donald L. Baker, in February 2018.
Anna Mae is survived by daughters: DoAnn E. Keller, of Reedsville, Gayle L. Baker-Gaydos and husband, Kevin J. Gaydos, of West Grove; Elaine T. Benner and husband, William E. Benner Jr., of Lancaster, and Tara J. Diffenbaugh, of Frederick, Md.; grandchildren, Alex Gaydos, Lauren (Benner) Rinier and husband, Chris, Bill Benner, Josh Diffenbaugh and Abbey Diffenbaugh; and great-grandsons, Jackson and Hudson Rinier.
She was predeceased by a sister, Sara (Dock) Humes, and a brother, Charles F. Dock.
She was a graduate of Lewisburg Area High School and a 1951 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in home economics. She came to Lewistown as the home economist for the Mifflin County Extension Service. She retired as a social worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance. In earlier years, she was a kindergarten teacher and home economics teacher in the Mifflin County School District.
She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, a Gold Star member and Past Worthy Matron of the Lewistown Chapter No. 283 Order of Eastern Star, a volunteer for Lewistown Meals on Wheels, a volunteer 4-H leader and an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Lewistown.
She will be fondly remembered by her numerous care providers.
Friends and family are invited to join a life celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, at Trinity United Church of Christ, 20 Oak St., Lewistown. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
