Anna Herbert Obituary

Anna K. Herbert, 84, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Ohesson Manor.

Born Sept. 6, 1934, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel (Wray) Brannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: children, Dale L. Herbert, and Pamela A. Herbert; siblings, Joseph Brannon, Nevada Helber, Pearl Brannon and Winifred Shemory.

She is survived by: daughter, Lucretia (Herbert) Hepburn and husband, Donald, of Milton; grandson, Lucas S. Hepburn, and wife, Shannon, of Hughesville; siblings, James L. Brannon, of Belleville, and Ada Mellott, of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

Anna was a graduate of Lewistown High School and a 1989 Juniata-Mifflin County Area Vocational Technical School nurse aide graduate.

She was a member of Lewistown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Earlier in life, she worked in downtown Lewistown at McCrory’s 5 & 10. She was one of the first nurse aide graduates and worked as caregiver until she retired.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.
