Betty L. (Smith) Stains

Betty L. (Smith) Stains, 70, of Burnham, passed away at 8:15 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018, at her home.  

Born April 13, 1948, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Ray W. Smith and Verna K. (Kroh) Griffith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Stains, whom she married Nov. 20, 1965, on July 1, 2009; and an infant son, Raymond.

She is survived by: her children, Robert B. Stains, of Burnham, Jeffrey M. Stains, of North Dakota, and Holly J. Dill and husband, Kenneth, of Burnham; seven grandchildren, Catherine, Devon, Andrew, Macayla, Gary, Danielle, and Travis; two great-granddaughters, Alya and Alexa; and siblings, Nancy Richard, Sandra Narehood and husband, Robert, Debra Deavor and husband, Barry, all of Lewistown, and Dennis Smith Sr. and his companion, Linda Sherlock, of Granville.

Betty was employed in the dietary department of Lewistown Hospital, from which she retired after 34 years.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Weds., May 30, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham. 

Private committal and interment will take place at Birch Hill Cemetery.
