Carl E. Sipe Jr., 78, of McClure, passed away at 7 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2018, at his home.
Born December 17, 1939, in Decatur Township, Mifflin County, he was the son of the late Carl E. Sr. and Alsetta D. (Klinger) Sipe.
Carl is survived by: his wife, Robetta E. (Walter) Sipe, whom he married July 27, 1963; children, Lynn Sipe and wife, Tina, of Mifflintown, Craig Sipe and wife, Julie, of McClure, and Michael Sipe and wife, Glenda, of Beavertown; grandchildren, Tyler, Heather, Kayla, Craig Jr., Alyssa, Nikita, Kelly (step), Colby, and Hallie; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Marker and husband, Charles, of Lewistown.
Carl graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1957.
He was a member of Samuel’s Church in McClure.
Early in life, he was employed as a milkman, then worked at Beaver Bakery. Lastly, Carl was superintendent for R. A. Marker and Sons stone construction in Lewistown for 38 years.
Carl enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and camping.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Weds., June 27, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thurs., June 28, 2018, at Samuel’s Church, 480 Samuel’s Church Rd., McClure, with Rev. Clark Kelsey officiating.
Interment will take place at Samuel’s Cemetery.
