Cathy Ruth York

Cathy Ruth York, 68, of McClure, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at her home.

Born Feb. 6, 1951, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Deloris (Burkheimer) Knarr.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. York, who passed March 7, 2017.

She is survived by: daughters, Amy Rager-Hummel and husband, Rick, and Cynthia Heckman and husband, Todd, both of McClure; five grandchildren, Mike Rager, Bradley Rager and husband, John Neugebaur, Skylar Romig and significant other, Taylor Snook, Tristin Hughes and Tad Heckman; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Braelyn Rager, Myles and Carolina Hughes, Nolan Wilt and Wrenley Romig; a brother, Steven Knarr and wife, Erma, of McClure; nieces, Melissa Brytczuk and husband, Jeff, and Melanie Stoner and husband, Toby.

She was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1969.

Cathy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure.

She enjoyed knitting and loved the company of her friends and family.

A receiving of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Lisa Schuster officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
