Charles A. Lepley, 90, of Lewistown Borough, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at Ohesson Manor.
Born Jan. 15, 1928, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Albert L. and Verna (Smith) Lepley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Grace B. (Wray) Lepley; two children, Holly Elizabeth Lepley, and James "Jim" F. Lepley on Oct. 15, 2018; and a brother, William Lepley.
Charles is survived by: sons, Michael Wray and wife, Judy, of Burnham, David Lepley, of Lewistown, and Jeffrey Lepley and wife, Jaylene, of Reedsville; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Lepley, of Lewistown; seven grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Several years after high school graduation, he enlisted and served in the Army from 1948 to 1955 with the 714th Tank Battalion, and later as a radio operator with the 5th Field Artillery Group, Fort Bragg, during the Korean Conflict.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at Evangel Baptist Church, lower auditorium, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, with Rev. Bill Howe and Rev. Bill Esborn officiating.
Interment will take place at Belltown Community Cemetery in McClure, with military honors provided by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.
Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
