David A. Price, 78, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, due to complications from pneumonia and COPD.
Born June 2, 1941, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Eric A. and Marion (Bloom) Price.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant twin brother, Donald.
He is survived by: his wife, Mary Ann (Rocco) Price, whom he married in 1964; daughter, Stephanie L. Price Foster and husband, Scott W., of Longmeadow, Mass.; a grandson, James W. Foster; a brother, Terry W. Price and wife, Lisa, of Texas; two nephews, Jimmy and Danny Price; a niece, Krista Price; and a great-niece, Scarlett Price.
David was a 1959 graduate of Auburn High School in Auburn, Mass. He was a 1966 graduate of the Boston University, College of Communication, graduating summa cum laude.
He served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964.
David was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Church.
He was employed with a variety of companies throughout his career: Bell Labs, Baxter Travenol Labs, Rockwell International, Pratt and Whitney, Division of United Technologies and ACMAT Corp. He enjoyed being outdoors, golfing, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed playing table tennis and spending time with family.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery, North Dorcas Street, Lewistown, with Father William Weary officiating.
