Dorothy E. (Solt) Frye

Dorothy E. Frye, 92, of Yeagertown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.

Born Oct. 11, 1927, in McClure, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Sara (Gill) Solt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Jack M. Frye, whom she married in Nov. 1957, on Aug. 3, 2019; sons, Allan K. Frye, and Robert Foor; and siblings, Fred Solt, John Solt, Phyllis "Pete" McMaster, and Betty Boreman.

Dorothy is survived by: children, Harvey L. Frye and wife, Marilyn, of Lewistown, Scott Frye and wife, Stacey, of Camp Hill, and Patricia Hare, of Lewistown; six grandchildren including grandson, Robert Foor, of Burnham, whom Dorothy and Jack raised; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, William Solt, Robert Solt, and Peggy Bottorf.

In her earlier years, Dorothy was employed at The Viscose Corporation and Fisher Electronics.  She enjoyed needlepoint, collecting antiques and Beanie Babies.

Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
