Dorothy Marie (Bush) Woodling

Dorothy Marie Woodling, 88, of Lewistown, passed away at 9:27 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehab Center.

Born March 24, 1929, in Canoe Creek, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Edith (Stewart) Bush. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Woodling, on May 22, 1993; and a brother, Donald Bush, and a grandson, Trent Hebert.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Carol Miller, Karen Shreffler and husband, Steven, Wilma Shawver, all of Lewistown, Debra Kensinger and husband, Dale, Donald Woodling and wife, Paula, both of McClure; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Raymond Bush and wife, Shirley, of Mechanicsburg, and Gwen Briner, of Lewistown.

Dorothy attended Lewistown High School and the Maranatha Bible School. She was a waitress at a number of restaurants and sold Electroluxes for over 10 years and was a member of Lewistown Assembly of God Church.

Dorothy was a caring, loving mother, and always put her children first. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo, yard sales and going to the beach.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday June 13, 2017, at the Lewistown Assembly of God Church, 160 Summit Drive, Lewistown, with Rev. Dennis Sproull officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
