Evelyn Louise “Gram” Dippery, 92, of Burnham, passed away at 2:25 a.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at William Penn.
Born June 2, 1925, in Burnham, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Esther (Freed) Stringfellow.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert H. Dippery Sr.; three children, Robert H. Dippery Jr., Brenda Stryker, and Gary R. Dippery; a great-grandson, Dustin Daugherty; and her five brothers, Ellsworth Rosenberry, and Jim, Richard, Leonard, and Glen Stringfellow.
Evelyn is survived by: her children, Gloria J. Kelley and husband, Leo, of Newark, Ohio, Dennis L. Dippery and wife Betty Lou, of Lewistown, Paula Harshbarger and husband, Thomas, of McVeytown, and Terry Dippery and wife, Rebecca, of Lewistown; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and daughters-in-law, Sally Dippery, of Lewistown, and Barbara Lepley and husband, Richard, of Yeagertown.
Evelyn retired from the Arrow Shirt Factory after 20 years. She and her husband started the B & E Hoagie Shop.
She was a member of the Burnham Community and Yeagertown Seniors Groups, and enjoyed baking pies for her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
A private graveside service will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown, with Rev John Walters officiating.
