Foster L. Hockenberry, 75, of Lewistown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 10, 2018, 4:08 p.m., at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born August 7, 1943, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late John B. Hockenberry and Anne E. (Arentz) Hockenberry Mackneer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Esther (Michael) Hockenberry; a brother, John Hockenberry; and sisters, Charlotte Amey and Nicole Mackneer.
Foster is survived by: a sister, Carol Bulick and husband, Robert, of Millersburg; nieces, Rhonda Kerstetter and husband, Rob, of Lewistown, and Karina Bulick, of Camp Hill; nephews, Craig Bulick, of Strodes Mills, Christopher Bulick and wife, Chris, of Bel Air, Md., Rick Hummel and wife, Amy, of McClure, and Michael Hummel, David Amey and wife, Kim, and Tommy Amey, all of Lewistown; and a great-nephew, Ryan Coffey and wife, Billie, of Chambersburg.
He was Catholic by faith.
Foster was employed as a cafeteria worker at the former Lewistown High School and ran errands for many local businesses.
He loved life, Penn State football, John Wayne, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 13, 2018, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at the funeral home, with Father William Weary officiating.
Interment will take place at Locust Run Cemetery, Thompsontown.
