Frank B. "Skip" Herbert, 84, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:32 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 19, 1934, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Frank E. and Alma W. (Brent) Herbert. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Dale Lee Herbert; and a daughter, Pamela H. Herbert.
Frank is survived by: his wife, Phyllis Irene (Hassinger) Youtzy Herbert; daughter, Lucretia L. Hepburn and husband, Don, of Lewisburg; six stepchildren, Darlene Henry, and Thomas R. Youtzy and wife, Nancy, both of Lewistown, Deborah K. Winters and husband, Clayton, of Strasburg, Terry R. Youtzy and wife, Lisa, Alan S. Youtzy and companion, Trudy Renninger, and Patty J. Shifflett and husband, Donnie, all of Lewistown; a grandson, Lucas Hepburn; 18 step-grandchildren; 39 step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, David L. Herbert and wife, Jeanie, of Jacksonville, Fla., Robert E. Herbert, of Shippensburg, George H. Herbert and wife, Peg, and Rebecca J. (Herbert) Hoover, both of Chambersburg.
He was a member of Saint Mark's Lutheran Church in Lewistown.
He was employed at the Arrow Shirt Factory, in Huntingdon and Lewistown; Abbotts Dairy in Belleville; J Wood in Gardenview; and lastly, as a machine repairman at Trinity Packaging before retiring in 1996.
A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with Mr. Buck Carolus officiating.
Interment will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
