Gary Lee Stein

Gary Lee Stein, 73, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

He was born on Oct. 31, 1944, in Lewistown.

He was a son of the late Harry P. and Lula (Hagans) Stein.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Allen Stein.

Gary is survived by: his wife, Glenda R. (Newman), of Lewistown, who he married in 1967; daughter, Stephanie Stein, of Lewistown; siblings, Sandra Murphy, Harry L. Stein and wife, Jean, Gene Stein, Edwin Stein and wife, Donna, Roseann Richards and husband, Tommy, all of Lewistown; mother-in-law, Josephine Newman, of Lewistown; sister-in-law, Cindy Shoemaker and husband, Timothy, of Lewistown.

He was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1964.

Earlier in life he worked at FMC, the Viscose. He was an avid gardener and loved racing. Gary liked woodworking, working on his truck, and was an avid hunter. He was a very good handyman, a jack of all trades kind of guy.

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., July 7, 2018, at the Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church, McVeytown, with Pastor Kenneth E. Grove officiating.
