Harold L. Sellers, 86, of Decatur Township, Lewistown, passed away at 3:44 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Aug. 19, 1933, in McAlisterville, he was a son of the late Paul and Ethel Mae (Landis) Sellers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Helen I (Shellenberger) Sellers, whom he married in Nov. 1951; and his brother, Delbert Sellers.
Harold is survived by: sons, Douglas S. Sellers and wife, Kay, of Lewistown, and Alvin D. Sellers and wife, Sherri, of McClure; grandsons, Justin Sellers, of Lewistown, Daniel Sellers, of McClure, and Michael Sellers, of Middle Creek; and seven great-grandchildren, Hudson, Jacob, Abram, Lydia, Molly, Lauren and Claire Sellers.
He graduated from Fayette High School and was a member of Freedom Avenue United Methodist Church in Burnham.
In his earlier years, Harold was employed by Standard Steel. He later worked for Prudential as an insurance agent and was a self-employed carpenter and contractor prior to retiring.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Dan Sellers officiating.
