Helen May (Deamer) Aumiller

Helen May Aumiller, 90, of Milroy, passed away at 10:45 a.m., Monday, October 7, 2019, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.

Born May 13, 1929, in Alfarata, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Jennie May (Weiand) Deamer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul D. Aumiller, July 19, 1980; granddaughter, Cheyann Martin; great-grandson, Elias C. Patton; brothers, Paul, Ray and Jay Deamer; sisters, Irene Frye and Verna Nepper; and a daughter-in-law, Pamela Aumiller.

Helen is survived by: children, Neil P. Aumiller and wife, Virginia, of Siglerville, David L. Aumiller Sr. and wife, Jane, of Milroy, Dale R. Aumiller, of Reedsville, Connie Tate and husband, Jeffrey, of Lewistown, and Susan A. Forshey and husband, Steve, of Marysville; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and siblings, Phyllis Sipe and husband, Marlin, and Letty Lawver, both of McClure, Shirley Freed, of Alfarata; and sister-in-law, Donna Deamer, of Huntingdon.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milroy, where she sang in the choir for many years.  Helen enjoyed gardening and cherished time spent with her family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Vaughn Kanagy officiating.

Interment will take place at Salem Cemetery, Milroy.
