Ida R. Heimbach, 95, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born April 4, 1923, in Granville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Nina (Foster) Setzler.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband, Richard L. “Dick” Heimbach Sr.; two sons, Richard L. Heimbach Jr. and Daniel L. Heimbach; four sisters, Alice Shawver, Arlene Black, Florence Grassmyer and Ruth Kline; six brothers, George Meluis, Clair, Lloyd, Glenn, Paul, and William Setzler; and four grandchildren.
Ida is survived by: children, Robert C. Heimbach and wife, Linda, of McVeytown, Herbert H. Heimbach and wife, Leah, of Lewistown, Viola Phillips and husband, Jeffrey, of Mifflin, Ida Goss and husband, John, of Lewistown, and Tina Wileman, and husband, Thomas, of Lewistown; brothers, Floyd Setzler and wife, Helen, of Williamsport, Md., Merrill Setzler and wife, Jeanine, of Hummelstown; 45 grandchildren; 53 great- grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Helen Heimbach.
She was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren. Ida liked to go to the Grange Fair, shopping and to auctions. She liked flowers and gardening.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, (Woodlawn) 200 N. Main St., Lewistown. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, with the Rev. Randy Traxler officiating.
Interment will be held at Union Cemetery Association, 3646 William Penn Highway, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
