Jack Frye Obituary

Jack M. Frye, 91, of Yeagertown, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at his home.

Born March 15, 1928, in Alfarata, he was a son of the late Herbert C. and Margaret S. (Yetter) Frye.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; sons, Allan Frye and Robert Foor; all of his siblings, Mary Louise Frye, Addie Frye, and Bud Frye.

He is survived by; wife, Dorothy E. (Solt) Frye, of Yeagertown; Harvey Frye and wife, Marilyn, of Lewistown; children,Scott Frye and wife Stacy, of Camp Hill, and Patricia Hare, of Lewistown; and a grandson, whom they raised, Robert Foor, of Burnham; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Jack worked as a furnace operator for 40 years at Standard Steel.

Earlier in life, he enjoyed hunting, gunsmithing, and woodworking. Jack was an avid Yankees fan.
