James K. Bay

James K. Bay, 82, of McClure, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Ohesson Manor.

Born July 20, 1935, in Lewistown, he was the son of James J. and Charlette E. (Wolfkill) Bay.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy L. Kline.

James is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Joan O. (Reigle) Bay; a son, Steve Bay and wife, Terri, of Alaska; three grandchildren, Kevin, Curtis and Miranda.

He was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1953.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1957 on the USS Valley Forge aircraft carrier. He worked at the Viscose for about 30 years as a mechanic in the engineering department, then he went to work as a truck driver until he retired.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and wife in his younger days.  More recently he found pleasure spending time with his grandson Kevin and visiting his son Steve and family in Yellowstone NP and Montana.  James loved the outdoors and was a great steward of his land in Belltown.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
