Jamie F. Fisher, 56, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018.
Born Oct. 19, 1961, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of James C. Hackenberg Jr. and Marcia F. (Krick) Hackenberg, of Lewistown.
Jamie was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents, Betty and Robert Krick, and paternal grandfather, James Hackenberg Sr.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by: children, Joshua Yale and wife, Ashley, of Carlisle, Kaitlyn Fisher, of Edinboro, Halle Fisher, of Edinboro, and Noah Fisher, of Lewistown; grandson, Landen Yale; siblings, Kathy Britt and husband, Stephen, of Milroy, Julie Cavanaugh and husband, Doug, of McVeytown, and Kandice DiGiorgio and husband, Frank, of Lewistown; paternal grandmother, Virgie Peterson; nephew, Matthew Cavanaugh, of Lewistown; nieces, Chelsea and Mikala Britt, of Milroy; former husband, Michael K. Fisher; and others very dear to her heart are great-nephews, Kian Britt, of Milroy, and Dawson Boreman, of Lewistown; great-niece Gaia Hallahan, of Pottstown; her best friend of 35 years, Pam Hunter, of McClure; and extended family members Nichole DiGiorgio, Heidi Heintz and Kirsten DiGiorgio, all of the greater Philadelphia area.
Jamie graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1979. She graduated from South Hills with a business degree.
She was employed as a custodian for the Mifflin County School District and she held various positions at Goodwill, South Side Hoagie Shop, Ames True Temper and the Giant store. She liked antiques, enjoyed doing crafts and she had a knack for upcycling furniture. She enjoyed gardening and decorating. Jamie was a hard worker and had her own business for interior painting of homes. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, campfires, game nights with her family and just spending time with her family and friends.She dreamed of one day moving to Florida.
A receiving of friends and family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m., with the Rev. David Pennebaker officiating.
