Jane E. Colabine, 76, of Derry Township, Lewistown, passed away at 9:40 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2019, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Sept. 30, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Madeline (Harper) Stroup.
Jane is survived by: her husband, Jack H. Colabine, whom she married on Jan. 6, 1962; children, Bryan D. Colabine, of Lewistown, and Michelle R. Watson and husband, John, of Lititz; four grandchildren, Kelli J. Hale, Matthew A. Colabine, Kyle R. Watson, and Karlie R. Watson; great-grandchildren, Alex J., Caleb L. and Blake A. Hale; and a sister, Donna M. Stewart, of Maryland.
She graduated from Chief Logan High School, Class of 1960.
She was a member of McVeytown United Methodist Church.
In her earlier years, Jane was employed at Beaver's Bakery in Burnham and White Container in Lewistown. She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed antiquing, watching football games and playing the slots.
A public viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019, at the McVeytown United Methodist Church, 3 South Queen Street, McVeytown. A private funeral service for the immediate family will follow at 1:30 p.m., at the church, with Pastor Stephanie Rupert officiating.
Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Burnham, is in charge of arrangements.
