Jean E. Walters, 84, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:15 AM, Wednesday July 11, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 1, 1933, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late George and Florence (Ritter) Bousum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Clair W. Walters; a daughter, Mary Ann Walters; siblings, Meda Bousum, Elva Earnest, William Bousum, Robert Bousum, Carl Bousum, and Helen Harpster.
Jean is survived by: children, Linda Hebert, of Newport, Richard Walters and companion, Mary Goss, of McClure; three grandchildren, Tracy Barlett, of Newport, Mark Barlett Jr., and Kimber Fisher and husband, Garrett, of Milroy; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Baumgardner, Mark Barlett III, Keegan Fisher, and Haley Fisher; a brother, George Bousum and wife, Diane, of Lewistown.
She worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory in her earlier years, the retired from Trinity Packaging. She always enjoyed camping at the Locust campground. She was a Penn State and Steelers football fan. She liked to go shopping and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and used to bake pies for local restaurants.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 PM, Friday, July 13, 2018, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be a meal and time of fellowship at 4 PM at Kish Park.
