John D. Stine, 72, of Lewistown, died at 10 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2017, at his home.
Born May 26, 1945, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Corbin and Frances (Gingrich) Stine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters.
He is survived by: his companion of 46 years, Emma Forshey; children, Corbin Stine and wife, Melissa, of Corinth, Kentucky, and Tonya Knepp and husband, Kevin, of Lewistown; five grandchildren, McKenna Webster, Emma Stine, Corbin “C.J.” Stine, Addison Knepp and Andrew Knepp; and siblings, Melvin “Dick” Stine, of Lewistown, and Beverly Bendetti, of New Jersey.
John was employed as a torch operator at Krentzman’s Scrapyard for 40 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Lewistown Owl’s Club and East Derry Fire Company.
A meal and time of fellowship will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Elks Lodge #663, 229 W. Third St., Lewistown. All other arrangements are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
