Joleen M. Aurand, 61, of Milroy, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at her home.
Born Jan. 10, 1958, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. Sheetz Sr. and Donna B. (Benner) Sheetz.
She is survived by: her husband of 20 years, Jeffrey H. Aurand, of Milroy; step children, Angie Aurand; Rhonda Raxtor, Jeffrey H. Aurand Jr., and Lindsay Winegardner and husband, Vincent, all of North Carolina; four grandchildren; and siblings, Joseph Sheetz Jr. and wife, Danielle, of Milroy, and David H. Sheetz and wife, Ellen, of Reedsville.
Joleen was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1975, and a graduate of Thompson Institute in 1977.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, and earlier in life at Walnut Street United Methodist Church.
Joleen was employed at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital in the Cardio-Rehabilitation Department for 40 years. She was an avid college football fan of Penn State and Tennessee, and a lifetime member of Fame Fire Company. Joleen will be greatly missed by friends and family and her blue tick hound, Zeb.
A receiving of friends will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with a memorial service to follow at 5 p.m., with Rev. Chris Lutz officiating.
Interment will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Birch Hill Cemetery.
