June F. Treaster, 79, of Burnham, passed away at 4:21 a.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewistown.
Born November 7, 1938, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Emma L. (Groner) Shortess.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jeana Baumgardner.
June is survived by: her husband of 55 years, William S. Treaster, whom she married in 1962; their son, Todd W. Treaster and wife, Rebecca, of Burnham; a granddaughter, Jessica Smith and husband, Andrew, of Burnham; and a niece, Edie Swank and Georgia Olsen, of Lewistown.
She graduated from Chief Logan High School, Class of 1956.
June was employed by Fisher Electronics/Sanyo Corporation as a supervisor, retiring with over 30 years of service. She later worked at the Burnham Giant Food Store.
June loved playing Bingo at the Burnham Fire Company and enjoyed baking cookies.
A viewing will be held from 10 – 11:30 a.m., Sat., March 3, 2018 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Kenneth Longfield officiating.
Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.
