Kenneth R. Forshey, 73, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Ohesson Manor.
Born March 29, 1946, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Paul and Mary (Hastings) Forshey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, Gene, Paul and Donald Forshey; and companion, Connie L. Aitkins, who passed in 2013.
He is survived by: daughters, Kammy Lou Shank, and husband, Kevin, of Elizabethtown, and Tammy Authier and husband, Randy, of Delaware; seven grandchildren, Robin, Carissa, Cherish, Cierra, R.J., Ami and Hanna; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Forshey and wife, Shirley, of Lewistown, Mary Reese, of Mississippi, Dean Forshey and wife, Connie, of Mount Union, John Forshey, of New York, Carl Forshey and wife, Pam, of New York, Sara Dickson, of Lewistown, and Bill Forshey, of McClure.
Ken was a retired maintenance employee for the Mifflin County Housing Authority.
He was an avid Penn State football fan. He enjoyed hunting, watching boxing, shooting pool and spending time with his family.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2019, at the funeral home, with Pastor Travis Habbershon officiating.
Interment will take place at Birch Hill Cemetery.
