Marian A. Laub

Marian A. Laub, 76, of McClure, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Oct. 29, 1942, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Ritter Sr. and Elsie A. (Hopkins) Ritter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ronald Ritter Sr.

She is survived by: husband, James S. Laub Sr., who she married in January 1959; children, Kathy Snyder and husband, Kevin, of Lewistown, Karen Blystone and husband, Robert, of McClure, Melinda Snyder and husband, Carl, of Lewistown, James Laub Jr., and wife, Vickie, of McClure, Denise Laub and companion, Richard Wilson, of Lewistown; 19 grandchildren, Steven and Jeremy Fike, Maranda and Garrett Snyder, Timothy and Ashley Blystone, Kristy Wagner, Jason Snyder, Nicole Hoar, Justine Peters, James Laub III, Jordan Carrington, JoHanna Parker, Jenna Wilson, Jonathon Laub, Richard and Ryan Wilson, Bailey Spigelmyer and Ericka Wilson; 38 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert E. Ritter Jr. and wife, Sandy, of McClure; and a cousin who was like a sister, Patricia Nolder, of Pittsburgh.

Marian attended Chief Logan High School.

She attended the Grace Covenant Church of Lewistown.

She was a seamstress and worked at various manufacturing companies; Kirby’s Manufacturing, Arrow Shirt Factory, Beaver Brothers Bakery and the Viscose in her lifetime.

She loved being with her family and telling stories, especially to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Michael Bailey officiating.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Nov. 30, 2018, at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Mount Rock Cemetery.
