Marjorie L. Stumpff, 101, formerly of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
Born Dec. 17, 1917, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Carl D. and Martha (Bossinger) McLucas. She was raised by her caring maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Bossinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a husband, Harry C. Stumpff, whom she shared 64 years of a happy wedded life; and a granddaughter, Marla Stumpff.
She is survived by three sons: Robert T. Stumpff and wife, Sylvia, of Laurel, Md.; John F. “Jack” Stumpff and wife, Arline, of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; and Rodger A. Stumpff and wife, Janice, of Venice, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was a lifelong member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She volunteered her time and served on many committees.
She worked for many years and later retired from the Mifflin County School District.
There will be no viewing or memorial service.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, Lewistown.
