Mary E. Grinder Hershey, 90, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:58 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 2, 1929, in Apollo, Armstrong County, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth M. and Josephine (Craft) Wells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Grinder Sr., and two sisters, Agatha Mailin and Phillis Davis.
Mary is survived by: children, Stanley E. Grinder Jr. and wife, Jill, of Quakertown, V. John Sabonis and wife, Vernon, of Bristol, Theresa Romig and husband, Martin, of McClure, and Bob Grinder and wife, Rose, of South Carolina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother, W. Clark Wells and wife, Betty, of Sun Lakes, Ariz.
Mary was a member of Baker's United Methodist Church, McClure.
She was employed as a microelectronics group leader at United Aircraft, Vector-Adin Inc., in Newtown, for 18 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., May 11, 2019, at Baker's United Methodist Church, Ulsh Gap and Fairview Roads, McClure, with Rev. James Jacobs officiating.
Interment will take place at Baker's United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
