Mary Lou Ross

Mary Lou Ross, 81, of Lewistown, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019, at her home.

Born June 19, 1938, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Robert Snyder, Sr. and Florence (Goss) Snyder.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Percy James Ross; a brother, Robert Snyder, Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Hope Hunsicker.

She is survived by; children, Allen Ross, of Lewistown, Kay Ross Rothrock and companion, Rick Milliken, Jr., of Lewistown, Wanda Ross and companion, John Van Arsdale, of Lewistown, Carolyn Ross and companion, Scott Brannon, of Lewistown; three grandchildren, Richard Rothrock, Jr., Jasmine Brannon, Jada Brannon; three great-grandchildren, Richard Rothrock III, Kendall Hassinger, Jace Shadel; brothers, Charles Snyder and wife, Brenda, of Milroy, Harold Snyder, of Lewistown.

She was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1956.

Mary Lou was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Alfarata.

She enjoyed sitting quietly with her crossword puzzle book, watching game shows, and embroidery.  She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She took great joy in cooking and baking for all of her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., on Friday, August 30, 2019, at the Decatur Fire Hall, 4277 US-522, Lewistown, PA 17044, with a meal to follow, provided by the Ladies Auxiliary.
