Mona Stitt Obituary

Mona L. Stitt, 80, of Reedsville, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019, at Ohesson Manor in Lewistown, and is now resting in the arms of Jesus.

Born Aug. 12, 1938, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Madge M. "Tudy" (Mitchell) Rhoades. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Stitt, and daughter, Lindy Treaster.

Mona is survived by: her son, Robert J. Stiff and wife, Donna, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Laurie Hudson and husband, Dave, and Kimberly Anderson and husband, Charles, both of Hummelstown; four great-grandchildren, all of Hummelstown; and a sister, Nancy Goshorn and husband, John, of Reedsville.

She was a high school graduate.

Mona loved her family. She especially enjoyed Christmas time, tending to her beautiful flowers, pruning her trees and doll collecting.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Ohesson Manor, for their care and compassion shown towards Mona and her family during her final days.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
