Norene "Nodie" J. (Stidfole) Stevens

Norene J. “Nodie” Stevens, 74, of 735 U.S. HWY 22, Lewistown, died at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born July 3, 1942, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Mary Jane (Rankin) Stidfole. Her husband, Franklin K. Stevens III, whom she married September 5, 1964, survives.

Also surviving are: two children, Ms. Chris Stevens and Mr. F. Kirk Stevens IV; and a grandson, Frank K. Stevens V, all of Lewistown.

In her earlier years, she was a beautician and owner of Jane’s Glamour Salon and owned and operated Stevens Ceramics and Stevens Motel. She also assisted her son in his auctioneering business. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lewistown, and a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1960, and a member of Lewistown Chapter #283 OES.

Nodie devoted her life to her husband, children, and her beloved cats.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown with Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
