Paula J. Fisher, 54, of McClure, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on Feb. 26, 1965, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Sherman Glick and the late Kay (Randolph) Glick.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob "Jake" Fisher.
She is survived by; siblings, Susan Shank and husband, Thomas, of Lewistown, David Glick and wife, Jami, of Lewistown, and Christine Orwig and husband, James, of Mifflintown; three exchange students whom Paula and Jake hosted and loved as their children, Derrick Djiemuratov, Irina Gazetkina and A.J. Djiemuratov; also survived by, nieces and nephews, Jonas Glick, Kati Smith, and husband, Michael Jr., Adriene Zook and husband, Jonathan, Anthony Shank and wife, Jordan, Makayla Orwig, Will Orwig; and several great nieces and nephews.
Paula was a Lewistown Area High School graduate, Class of 1983. She attended Lawvers United Methodist Church.
Paula was an owner/operator of the Fisher’s Farm Market in McClure. She was a member of 4-H and was a baby beef leader for many years, member of Snyder County Farm Bureau, Tri-County Farmers Market, Juniata Valley of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau, and Snyder County local AG support.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, July 9, 2019, prior to a funeral service at noon, at Lawvers United Methodist Church, Whiskey Road, McClure, with Reverend Kathy Mercado officiating.
Interment will take place in Belltown Cemetery.
