Phyllis E. Thompson

Phyllis E. Thompson, 98, of Lewistown, passed away on June 23, 2019, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Nov. 23, 1920, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late G. Foster and Helen (Wray) Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, F. Richard Thompson; daughter, Christine A. Mowery; a sister, Shirley Lepley.

She is survived by; son, James R. Thompson, of Lewistown; and a sister, Nancy Bogar, of McClure; two grandchildren, Jennifer Reese, and Cory Mowery; and two great-grandchildren, Abby Reese and Parker Reese.

Phyllis was a graduate of Yeagertown High School.

In her younger years, Phyllis worked at Overhead Door Corporation, Luck Monument and Lewistown Gas Company.

She enjoyed reading and the challenges of completing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with family.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Mount Rock Cemetery, Oakland Ave., Lewistown.
