R. Scott Wagner, 67, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:35 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at his home.
Born Dec. 11, 1950, in Lewistown, he was a son of Roy Dean Wagner and stepson of Roy's wife, Carol, of Lewistown, who survive. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Jo Wagner.
In addition to his father and stepmother, Scott is survived by: his wife, Pamela (Berrier) Wagner, whom he married April 7, 2016; children, Jason Wagner, of Milroy, BreAnn Schaefer and husband, Nick, of Port Matilda; Julie Stringfellow, of Lewistown, Nicholas Moore and wife, Mandi, of Burnham, and Bronwen Prosser and companion, Butch Swartz, of Milroy; eight grandchildren, Gavin and Max Schaefer, Alek Moore, James Stringfellow IV, Jaylyn, Camren and Drue Moore, and Piper "Cubby" Swartz; and siblings, Peggy Cox and companion, Richie Lucke, of Burnham, Vickie Peters and husband, Steven, of Reedsville, Steve Wagner, of Lewistown, Mike Wagner and wife, MaryKay, of McVeytown, Toni Goss and husband, "Doc," and Cora Romig and husband, Scott, both of Lewistown, Holly Ann Hampton and husband, Charlie, of McClure, and Lori Bollinger, of Lewistown.
He was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1970. After graduation, he served in the Army from 1970 to 1972 and was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
He retired from New Holland with 35 years of service, where he was employed in many positions, lastly as a materials handler.
Scott attended Parkview Church of The Brethren. He was a life member of Yeagertown and City Hook and Ladder Fire Companies, Lewistown VFW Post 7011 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 4924, where he donated numerous hours helping the club with whatever was needed.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding in the mountains and loved all kinds of music and dancing. He treasured times spent with his family, especially his "Lil' Cubby."
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at Parkview Church of The Brethren, 990 Parcheytown Road, Lewistown, with Pastor Teresa Fink officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 7011. A celebration of Scott's life will immediately follow at the Burnham Lions Club Community Building, 403 First Ave., Burnham.
